What Is ECOCERT and Why Does It Matter?

A word such as “clean” can mean different things to different brands. A defined certification gives you a standard you can look up.

ECOCERT and COSMOS are not the same thing

ECOCERT is a certification body. COSMOS is an international standard for natural and organic cosmetics. Ecocert can certify cosmetics against that standard.

Read the exact label

COSMOS NATURAL and COSMOS ORGANIC are distinct labels. A natural label is not interchangeable with an organic label. Check the product name and certification scope rather than assuming that a supplier's certification applies to everything it makes.
